Summary

Following the review of maritime unit standards during 2020, additional feedback was received that suggested the credit change of 29570 processed in that review overstated the credits required for the skills and knowledge covered in the unit standard.  In response, unit standard 29570 has been revised back to 2 credits to better reflect the time required to gain the skills and knowledge in this unit standard.  Competenz has checked that no pre-moderations have been completed on version 2 of this standard, and to avoid any difference in learner credits received from this change, the last date of assessment for version 2 of this standard has been set to 31 August 2021.

Stakeholders, including users of the standard and those with consent to assess, have been consulted regarding this revision.
