Summary

In 2019, The Skills Organisation conducted a face-to-face meeting with industry representatives from the drug screening industry.  The Working Group consisted of stakeholders that were widely representative of the industry.  They unanimously agreed there was a need to develop the above unit standards to meet current and future requirements of the drug screening industry.

The unit standards were developed to ensure they are fit for purpose, relevant, and meet industry best practice.  Industry representatives involved in the development of unit standards provided feedback from their own networks in 2019 and, once new technology and processes were available in New Zealand, the Working Group endorsed the drafts for listing.
