Summary of review and consultation process |
|
These qualifications were listed before the Targeted Review of Qualifications (TRoQ). They were then reviewed under TRoQ. In consultation with the industry, it became clear that the reviewed versions were not fit for purpose. These qualifications have been reviewed to reflect the listed versions (version 1). Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) still use version 1. |

New Zealand Certificate in Fire and Rescue Services (Level 2) with strands in Airport, Urban Fire and Rescue Operations, and Vegetation [Ref: 1833], New Zealand Certificate in Fire and Rescue Services (Urban Fire and Rescue Operations) Level 3) [Ref: 1835], and New Zealand Certificate in Fire and Rescue Services (Urban Fire and Rescue Operations) (Level 4) [Ref: 1836] Transferred onto the current qualification template, and review date added. The graduate profile outcomes have been updated to reflect those of the version 1 qualification because they were considered fit for purpose and in use. Changes were made to strengthen the GPOs without changing the intent. New Zealand Certificate in Fire and Rescue Services (Vegetation) (Level 3) [Ref: 1852], and New Zealand Certificate in Fire and Rescue Services (Vegetation) (Level 4) [Ref: 1853] Transferred onto the current qualification template, review date added. The titles and credits have been updated to reflect that of version 1 as version 2 was not fit for purpose. The providers that are currently operating programmes against this version can continue to do so. Changes were made to strengthen the GPOs without changing the intent. |
