Summary
This is the final stage of a review of all unit standards in the Aeronautical Engineering subfield. The review was undertaken in consultation with the aeronautical engineering industry as part of a scheduled review. The number of credits for each unit standard was found to be far below the requirements. The industry endorsed an increase for each standard to genuinely reflect the work, study, and assessment they demand. As this was a major change the standards were required to be replaced by new standards with new titles appropriate credit levels. The outcomes of the replacement standards clarify the aeronautical maintenance context of the aeronautical production control function.
