Summary
Connexis conducted an early review of unit standards in the Infrastructure Works subfield to align with changes required by a review of three infrastructure qualifications. Unit standards were reviewed from January to May 2021.
Consultation on the reviewed unit standards was carried out with industry technical advisers and organisations with consent to assess. The Industry Reference Group endorsed the proposed changes.
Main changes
· Unit standard 31519 was reclassified to Infrastructure Civil Works from Infrastructure Works Utilities domain as the standard applies to all civil works.
· The credit totals for unit standards 31475 and 31476 were increased to reflect the required learning and assessment time.
