Summary of review and consultation process |
Industry wide consultation, for all three qualifications, was undertaken via an online survey that was sent to people registered as training companies in our training database. This was to seek feedback on whether the qualifications are still considered by the industry to be fit for purpose. Industry Working groups were formed for each qualification from the working group members were nominated by the National Advisory Group (Interior Systems) in order to provide feedback on the qualifications and to consider the feedback received from the wider industry. The initial consultation survey and working group discussions both concluded that no changes were required to be made to the qualifications in this suite. The qualification outcomes were then sent out to the BCITO training database members for proprietary systems installation and interior linings installation to ensure support industry wide, however, no feedback was received. Once changes and decisions were finalised from these phases of industry consultation, the National Advisory Group (Interior Systems) reviewed outcome of the review and approved of the process and outcomes. |
Main changes resulting from the review |
- The two professional standards graduate profile outcomes (GPOs) have now been split into three, and the credit values adjusted to accommodate this change. - Graduate profile outcome 1 has been amended for clarity. - Credits have been rounded to make the qualifications more suited for programme development. - ‘Undertake’ has been removed from GPOs this was implicit in the term ‘Undertake and complete’. - The education pathways have been updated to reflect updated qualification details. - Conditions relating to the graduate profile were removed. - Evidence requirements for assuring consistency were updated. - General conditions for programmes were amended to align with industry requirements. |
