Summary
As a result of the planned Standards Review date, MQS along with the Māori Governance Whakaruruhau, reviewed the Governance of Māori Authorities unit standards to ensure they remain fit for purpose and align with the graduate profile outcomes in the newly reviewed Māori Governance suite of qualifications.
Main changes
The main changes that were made to the standards include the following:
· Credit and level increased for standard 21655
· Credit reduced for standard 16070
· Minor title changes to provide clarity for ākonga and kaiako.
· Minor wording changes to some outcomes and performance criteria for relevance and to provide clarity for ākonga and kaiako.
· Resource support list updated to reflect current practice.
It is the view of Māori Qualification Services that these minor edits do not change the overall learning outcomes or graduate profile outcomes of the qualification.
