The BCITO has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.
Date new versions published June 2021
Planned review date December 2026
Summary
Following the Targeted Review of Qualifications, the National Certificate in Concrete Production (Level 3) [Ref: 0713] was replaced by the New Zealand Certificate in Concrete Production (Level 4) [Ref: 2738]. New level 4 unit standards were developed to meet the requirements of the new qualification’s graduate outcomes. Three existing units relevant to concrete production were reviewed and considered not fit for purpose. In consultation with industry these units were designated expiring. The unit standard not considered in this review will be considered in a future review.
Consultation was carried out with industry in May 2020 where industry stakeholders were given the chance to provide feedback on standards.
Main Changes
· Three unit standards were designated expiring since they are no longer required by industry.
· Thirteen new unit standards were developed to meet outcomes for the new level 4 qualification.
Category D units will expire at the end of December 2023
