Summary
The Skills Organisation (Skills) and Ara Poutama Aotearoa, Department of Corrections (Corrections) reviewed unit standards to support unit standard based programmes for version 2 of the New Zealand Certificate in Offender Management (Level 4) [Ref: 2658]. Corrections is the main stakeholder and Skills have worked closely over the last 18 months with them to ensure that the reviewed unit standards are fit for purpose and relevant for current and future needs.
Main changes
· Three unit standards were reviewed to meet current and future requirements of the Offender Management industry.
· Guidance information was updated for clarity and industry best practice.
· Outcomes and performance criteria were amended to clarify evidence requirements for assessment.
