Summary
The above unit standards were reviewed to align with revised industry legislation and current industry requirements and confirmed by the industry reference group.
The unit standard review process involved consultation with the New Zealand Roadmarkers Federation, Roadmarkers New Zealand, the industry reference group, and technical advisers from March to September 2020. Industry feedback was received by email from technical advisers and the industry reference group. Feedback was actioned where appropriate.
Main changes
· Guidance information and legislation were updated in most standards including Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency guidelines and specifications.
· Outcomes, performance criteria, and range statements were amended in line with current industry requirements.
· Titles were updated for unit standards 15925, 18053 and 21420 to better reflect outcomes.
· The pre-requisite was removed from unit standard 15934 because it was no longer current.
· The approved handler requirement was removed from unit standard 21428 in line with industry requirements.
· The hazardous substances regulations were included in unit standard 21429 in line with industry requirements.
