NZQA Maori Qualifications Services (MQS) has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Summary
As a result of the planned standards review cycle, MQS along with the Whakaruruhau, reviewed the Te Aho Wahine unit standards to ensure they remain fit for purpose and meet the aspirations and needs of ākonga, as well as whānau, hapū and iwi.
Main changes
The main changes that were made to the standards include the following:
· Minor wording changes have been made to some outcomes and performance criteria for relevancy, consistency and to provide clarity for ākonga and kaiako.
· Definitions in the guide information section have been updated.
· Grammatical errors have been corrected.
· Changes were made to levels and credits for unit standards 10701, 10708 and 10710 to better reflect the complexity of work required, and time needed to complete their requirements.
· Unit standards 10702, 10703, 10704, 10705, 10706 and 10709 have been expired due to no usage.
Category D unit standards will expire at the end of December 2022
The last date for assessment of superseded versions of Category B unit standards is December 2022
