Planned review date                                                                              December 2026

Summary

As a result of the scheduled review of the New Zealand Certificate in Frame and Truss Detailing (Level 4) [Ref: 2085], the current qualification was replaced with the New Zealand Diploma in Timber Structure Detailing (Level 5) [Ref: 4377].

New standards were developed in consultation with the Timber Structure (Frame and Truss) detailing industry to support programmes leading to the New Zealand Diploma in Timber Structure Detailing (Level 5) [Ref: 4377].  Three existing unit standards were reviewed and designated expiring.

Main changes

·         Three unit standards were designated expiring without replacement as they are no longer fit for purpose.

·         Ten new unit standards were developed to meet the outcomes of the new level 5 qualification mentioned above.

Category D unit standards will expire at the end of December 2023
