Summary of review and consultation process |
|
The scheduled review of the New Zealand Certificate in Medical Transcription and Editing (Level 4) commenced in 2020. The review included consultation with industry stakeholders to ensure that current and future needs of the medical transcription industry were met. The industry confirmed that the qualification remains fit for purpose. |

Main changes resulting from the review |
|
Qualification transferred to the current template. Qualification credits changed from 96 to 95 and GPO credits rounded accordingly. Graduate profile outcomes two and four were strengthened to clarify without changing the intent. General conditions for programme were updated to include appropriate legislation/acts/regulation legislation. |
