Summary of review and consultation process |
|
Consultation included Steiner schools working with the New Zealand Certificate of Steiner Education (NZCSE) as well as key stakeholders, including Principals, Board of Trustees, Proprietors’ Trusts, high school teachers and students, and Maori and Pasifika teachers and communities.
Feedback received was given in general terms apart from specifics about pre-requisites per level 1 & 2 and from a number of teachers who questioned if the proposed changes to the structure of NCEA, particularly level 1, would necessitate changes to the NZCSE level 1 as well. This is not the case and Steiner Education Development Trust would prefer to be informed directly by our stakeholders rather than be influenced by outside trends.
Feedback confirmed the three qualifications are viewed by most Steiner schools as being a coherent package considered holistically and not as three separate qualifications. Steiner Education Development Trust considers the qualifications remain fit for purpose. |

Version Information: People currently enrolled in programmes leading to version 1 of these qualifications may either complete the requirements by 31 December 2023 or transfer to version 2 of the qualification.
