Summary

 

The review of these unit standards was prompted by the outcomes of the scheduled review of qualifications, specifically:

 

·            New Zealand Certificate in Snowsport Equipment (Level 3) with strands in Workshop Technician, and Rental [Ref: 3499]

·            New Zealand Certificate in Snowsport Equipment (Level 4) with strands in Workshop Technician, and Bootfitting [Ref: 3500]

·            New Zealand Certificate in Mountain Facility Operations (Level 3) with strands in Lift Operations, and Road and Carpark Services [Ref: 3493].

 

Feedback from stakeholders including industry experts and current users of the unit standards was gathered through an open consultation process.

 

Main changes

 

·         Language was amended within the unit standards for readability and to ensure they are fit for purpose and aligned with current industry practice.

·         Guidance information was updated in some unit standards for currency.

·         Unit standards were updated to align with current NZQA template requirements.

·         The titles of some unit standards were updated to better reflect outcomes.

 

The last date for assessment of superseded versions of Category B unit standards is December 2022
