Summary of review and consultation process |
|
The review of the qualification listed above ran from September 2019 to September 2020, consisting of a preparatory stage and initial hui followed by a number of consultation events, including an online survey, face-to-face meeting of the Review Group, and further consultation. The feedback and recommendations from the various consultation events were analysed with amendments being incorporated to ensure the outcomes were relevant to all intended learners. |

Main changes resulting from the review |

New Zealand Certificate in Skills for Living for Supported Learners (Level 1) with an optional strand in Skills for Working [Ref: 2853]: • The optional strand was removed. • The qualification credit value was increased from 55 to 60. • The graduate outcomes were reviewed and amended to reflect aspects that were previously included as conditions. • The New Zealand Certificate in Skills for Learning and Working, for Supported Learners (Level 1) [Ref: 4373] (120 credits) was developed, incorporating the outcomes of the previous optional strand, contextualised for adult learners and focussed on learners progressing to employment and/or further learning. • A Guidance Document for Programme Developers will be available on Careerforce’s website to cover aspects that would formerly have been included in the qualification document as Conditions. |
