Summary
The Skills Organisation, in partnership with stakeholders within the Intelligence sector, reviewed unit standards within the Intelligence Analysis domain on the NZQF. The review was conducted through a series of virtual and face-to face meetings between February and July 2021. The review was conducted to align unit standards with the graduate profile outcomes of version 2 of the Intelligence Analysis qualification suite, New Zealand Certificate in Intelligence (Introduction) (Level 3) [Ref: 2392], New Zealand Certificate in Intelligence (Level 5) with strands in Collection, and Collation [Ref: 2394], and the New Zealand Diploma in Intelligence Analysis (Level 6) [Ref: 2396].
Two new unit standards were created to be suitable in an intelligence context and to meet the requirements of version 2 of the New Zealand Certificate in Intelligence (Level 5) with strands in Collection, and Collation [Ref: 2394]. Key industry stakeholders involved with the intelligence sector, including The Skills Organisation, who have consent to assess for the domain Intelligence Analysis, were consulted through face-to-face meetings in May and June 2021.
