Summary of review and consultation process |
The qualification was reviewed in 2021/2022. The review included broad consultation with members of the passenger services sector via email and website consultation. This was done to ensure that the qualification remains fit for purpose and reflective of industries ongoing needs. The outcome of the review was to maintain the qualification on the framework and work with industry to establish a training provision model to support the delivery of programme/s leading to award of the qualification. |
Main changes resulting from the review |
· Overall qualification credits reduced from 65- 75 to 60. · Graduate profile outcome (GPO) 3, credits reduced from 15 to 10, and total credit allocation for Long Distance Bus strand GPOs reduced from 20 to 10 to align with other elective strands. · Qualification award was amended to ensure clarity. · Evidence requirements for assuring consistency were updated. · General conditions for programmes were amended to align with industry requirements. · Conditions specific to the GPOs were removed. |
