Waihanga Ara Rau Workforce Development Council has completed the republication of the unit standards listed above.
Date of republication April 2022
Summary
In April 2022, a request was received from Te Pukenga Competenz Work Based Learning Subsidiary (WBL) regarding the extension of the last date of assessment of the expiring unit standards listed above.
These unit standards are included in programmes leading to the New Zealand Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (Trade) (Level 4) [Ref: 2366] and the National Certificate Mechanical Engineering with strands in Fitting and Machining, General Engineering, Machining, Maintenance Engineering, Toolmaking, and Electricity Supply [Ref: 1262].
Learners enrolled in the above programmes leading to these qualifications have been impacted by the Covid-19 lockdown situation particularly in Auckland. This has resulted in the inability to contact learners and coupled with the cancellation of block courses which have been formally postponed until 2022, meant a total of 238 compulsory assessments for the two units with Waihanga Ara Rau were unable to be assessed before their expiry date of 31 December 2021.
Main changes
The last date for assessment of the following versions of each unit standard was extended from 31 December 2021 to 31 December 2022.
