Toitū te Waiora Community, Health, Education and Social Services Workforce Development Council has completed the rollover of the unit standards listed above.

Summary

The Offender Management unit standards and related qualifications were originally developed initially by The Skills Organisation Incorporated. With the government’s Reform of Vocational Education, coverage was transferred to Toitū te Waiora WDC.

In February 2022 representatives of Toitū te Waiora WDC and the Department of Corrections, Ara Poutama Aotearoa (Corrections) met to discuss extending the last date for assessment against the unit standards listed above.  At that meeting, and in subsequent communications, Corrections representatives explained that COVID 19 and Corrections internal COVID management framework, have impacted on their ability to continue with training and assessment.

Main changes

· The last date for assessment against the unit standards listed above was extended until 31 December 2024.
