Summary
This review was conducted in consultation with Sector Advisory Groups and Technical Advisory Groups, consisting of industry experts, stakeholders and those holding consent to assess. Amendments and updates to the units were discussed at meetings that were held in the first quarter of 2020, results of these meetings were communicated via email to review participants, offering a further opportunity to provide feedback. Subsequent discussions were undertaken via electronic medium to finalise the unit standards. All relevant feedback was actioned where appropriate.
Main changes
· Two new units were developed for the Furniture and Cabinet Making domain to meet industry needs.
· Eight unit standards in the Furniture and Cabinet Making domain were expired and replaced by twenty one new unit standards to meet the current and future needs of the industry sector and to align with the training regime.
· References, definitions and assessment information were improved for clarity.
· Guidance Information, Outcomes and Performance Criteria were updated to reflect current industry practice.
Category C unit standards will expire at the end of December 2023
