Summary of review and consultation process |
|
The Skills Organisation initiated the review of these qualifications. After scoping work and research, meetings were held for each of the qualifications to consider qualifications’ fitness for purpose and suggestions for improvement. The major change to the qualifications collectively was the increased emphasis on appropriate knowledge and participation in values and principles and modes of conduct from te ao Māori coming out of the role of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in the future of vocational education based on the Reform of Vocational Education. Ringa Hora Services Workforce Development Council took over and reinitiated the review in October 2021. On completion of the review the qualifications were passed to Toi Mai Workforce Development Council, to assume Qualification Developer status. |
