Summary of review and consultation process |
|
The qualifications listed above were revised to clarify the structure of the optional strands and corresponding credits. A working group consisting of industry representatives and the provider were involved in the revision process from and have endorsed the changes. Qualification drafts and an explanation for the revision were emailed to all industry users of the qualification in March 2022, requesting feedback, comments, and suggestions on the drafts. These are also available on the Hanga-Aro-Rau Manufacturing, Engineering and Logistic Workforce Development Council’s website. |

Main changes resulting from the review |

Learners may complete the qualification without any optional strands; however, they may also complete the Automated Cleaning optional strand or the Heat Treatment optional strand, or both optional strands. New Zealand Certificate in Dairy Processing (Level 3) with optional strands in Automated Cleaning, and Heat Treatment [Ref: 2562]Qualification: 85 credits Qualification with Automated Cleaning optional strand: 95 credits Qualification with Heat Treatment optional strand: 90 credits Qualification with both the Automated Cleaning and Heat Treatment optional strands: 100 credits.
New Zealand Certificate in Dairy Processing (Level 4) with optional strands in Automated Cleaning, and Heat Treatment [Ref: 2563] Qualification: 80 credits Qualification with Automated Cleaning optional strand: 95 credits Qualification with Heat Treatment optional strand: 85 credits Qualification with both the Automated Cleaning and Heat Treatment optional strands: 100 credits. No last date of assessment has been applied to the superseded versions of these qualifications. It is expected that new programmes will be developed to lead to the latest version. |
