Summary
During the review of New Zealand Certificate in Proprietary Systems Installation (Level 4) with strands in Proprietary Partitions, and Suspended Ceilings [Ref: 3060], the Advisory Group recommended the addition of seismic strengthening to the unit standards for the installation of partitions and ceilings. Amendments have been made to Units 31253 and 31255 accordingly and consent to assess holders were informed of the changes. These two unit standards were revised ahead of the scheduled review in 2023 in order to incorporate the important safety consideration.
In addition, a group of unit standards was identified which are no longer required for use in programmes and therefore was designated expiring. Consent to assess holders were notified by email.
Main changes
· Units 31253 and 31255 were amended to include seismic strengthening of partitions and ceilings.
· A group of unit standards was designated expiring because they are no longer required for use in programmes.
