Muka Tangata – People, Food and Fibre Workforce Development Council has completed the revision and review of the unit standards listed above.  The revised standards are in bold.

Summary

 

Muka Tangata – People, Food and Fibre Workforce Development Council reviewed Arboriculture and Plant Pest, Weed, and Disease Control unit standards to better reflect the requirements of the updated qualification graduate outcomes.

 

Plant Pest, Weed, and Disease Control unit standards were reviewed according to their planned review date.  Arboriculture unit standards 2769, 17262, 25405 were reviewed in June 2021, however errors were noted on publication and these were revised.  Further amendments suggested by industry to selected unit standards were made to ensure they are fit for purpose.

 

Consultation was carried out in February 2022 where consent to assess holders and stakeholders had the opportunity to give comment on an email sent asking for feedback to amendments.  This feedback was addressed where appropriate.

 

Main changes

 

Revised unit standards

·      Some guidance information, performance criteria and range statements for unit standards 2769, 17262 and 25405 were amended to ensure unit standards remained fit for purpose.

 

Reviewed unit standards

·      Titles were amended for some reviewed unit standards to better align with the content.

·      Unit standard 21563 and 27216 increased in credits to reflect the time required to gather evidence to meet the performance criteria.

·      Guidance information was amended for unit standards to reflect changes to format requirements.

·      Some performance criteria and range statements were amended to ensure unit standards remained fit for purpose.

 

The last date for assessment of superseded versions of Category B unit standards is December 2024
