Summary
The Capstone Advisory Group of Waihanga Ara Rau reviewed the unit standards that underpin the capstone assessments for electrical workers in electricity supply. Their recommendations were circulated to stakeholders and accepted.
Main changes
· The Purpose Statement and Guidance Information statements were adjusted to include two additional unit standards that underpin capstone assessments, Unit 28110 and Unit 31968.
· Outcome 4 in Unit 28943 was removed to more accurately reflect the tasks of a Transmission Line Mechanic.
· Changes were made to the wording of outcomes, performance criteria and range statements in Unit 32255 to clarify the intent of the standards.
· Range statements were removed in the practical capstone unit standards 31954 and 28278 to reflect industry requirements.
· Unit 28278 was reviewed and replaced by unit 33058 as the reviewed content was deemed sufficiently different to warrant a new unit.
Category C unit standard 28278 will expire at the end of December 2023.
