Summary of review and consultation process |
|
There were substantial changes made to unit standards associated with these qualifications during the latest review which has required subsequent programmes to make significant changes to the supporting resources. Due to this, there has been a delay in the launch of updated programmes leading to the latest qualification versions. An extension to the last date of assessment for the superseded versions is to accommodate the learners who will be unable to complete learning and assessment before the previous last date of assessment for version 1. |

The last dates of assessment for version 1 of these qualifications have been extended from 31 December 2023 to 31 December 2024. The Qualification Developer has been updated from BCITO Building and Construction Transitional Industry Training Organisation to Hanga-Aro-Rau Manufacturing, Engineering and Logistics Workforce Development Council.

Version 2 of the qualifications were republished in October 2022 to extend the last date of assessment for version 1.
People enrolled in version 1 will need to complete by the 31 December 2024 or transfer to the replacement New Zealand qualification.
It is anticipated that no existing candidates will be disadvantaged by these transition arrangements. However, anyone who feels that they have been disadvantaged may appeal to Hanga-Aro-Rau Manufacturing, Engineering and Logistics Workforce Development Council at the address below. Appeals will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
