Summary of review and consultation process |
The review of this qualification occurred in 2022. The review encompassed consultation with stakeholders from the forestry sector to ensure that the reviewed qualifications met their current and future needs. Industry stakeholders have identified skill gaps in the current delivery of the qualification. The working group recommended increasing the credit size of The Silviculture Strand (Outcome 5) to allow for the inclusion of more learning and practice using electronic mapping devices. Final stakeholder sign-off from the forestry working group was obtained once all feedback was taken into consideration. |
Main changes resulting from the review |
Silviculture Strand: Graduate Profile Outcome 5 credit value was increased from 15 to 20. This has increased the qualification credits for this strand to 60 credits, which is the same for both strands. |
