NZQA Māori Qualifications Services (MQS) has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Summary
This review was undertaken as part of the planned cycle of review of MQS unit standards.
MQS, along with the Whakaruruhau, reviewed the Tikanga unit standards to ensure they remain fit for purpose, current, and meet the aspirations and needs of ākonga, as well as whānau, hapū, and iwi.
Main changes
The main changes that were made to the standards include the following:
· Minor wording changes have been made to purpose statements, guidance information, outcomes and performance criteria for relevancy, consistency and to provide clarity for users, assessors and learners.
· Amended titles for unit standards 16044, 16060, 16065, 16142, 27105, 27106, 27108, 27120, 27123, 27125, 27126, 27127, 27128, 27129, 29316, 29317, 29318, and 29319.
· Glossaries have been updated.
· Grammatical errors have been corrected.
The last date for assessment of superseded versions of Category B unit standards is December 2024.
