Summary
Muka Tangata – People, Food and Fibre Workforce Development Council revised Forestry unit standards and reviewed a Pork Production unit standard to better reflect the requirements of industry.
Unit standards 1258, 24567 and 6920 were reviewed in 2020, however errors were noted on publication and the units have been revised to correct these. Unit standard 26175 was reviewed in 2021, but has been reinstated to be used in the delivery of the New Zealand Certificate in Pork Production (Sector Management) (Level 4) [Ref: 2524]. Further amendments suggested by industry to selected unit standards were made to ensure they are fit for purpose.
Consultation was carried out in August 2022 where consent to assess holders and stakeholders had the opportunity to give comment on the email sent asking for feedback to amendments. This feedback was addressed where appropriate.
Revision of Forestry unit standards
Main changes
· Performance criteria were updated to ensure the unit standards remained fit for purpose.
· Guidance Information section was updated for currency and to better reflect industry requirements.
· Unit standard 24567 has a change in title.
· Unit standard 1258 has an additional outcome and performance criteria.
Review of Pork Production unit standard
Main changes
· Unit standard 26175 was reviewed and reinstated to meet the needs of the pork production industry.
· Unit standard 26175 has a change in title.
· Performance criteria were updated to ensure the unit standard remained fit for purpose.
· Guidance Information section was updated for currency and to better reflect industry requirements.
