Ringa Hora Services Workforce Development Council (WDC) has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Date new versions published                                                               October 2022

Planned review date                                                                              December 2027

Summary

Ringa Hora Services WDC reviewed 35 unit standards within the Aeronautical Maintenance Certification domain to verify whether the standards still meet the requirements of the relevant Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Syllabi for the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence, or the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Aircraft Maintenance Licence, as applicable.

Consultation was carried out in September 2022 with subject matter experts from the Aeronautical Engineering Industry Advisory Group by email, requesting feedback and amendments to ensure the unit standards reflected current industry requirements.  Feedback was incorporated where valid.

Main changes

·      Minor edit carried out to the CAA aligned standards to match CAA format.

·      Minor edit carried out to standard 20904 to include safety management.

·      Minor edit carried out to the EASA aligned standards to match EASA format.

·      Reference to iSpec 2200 Information Standards for Aviation Maintenance updated to latest version where applicable.

The last date for assessment of superseded versions of Category B unit standards is December 2024
