Summary |
In line with the Reform of Vocational Education (RoVE) following the establishment of the Waihanga Ara Rau Construction and Infrastructure Workforce Development Council (WDC), Ara Institute of Canterbury Ltd and Te Pūkenga – New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology agreed to transfer qualification developer status and associated responsibilities for the New Zealand Certificate in Construction Trade Skills from Ara Institute of Canterbury Ltd to Waihanga Ara Rau Construction and Infrastructure WDC. This aligns all industry qualifications within the Construction sector pathway with a single qualification developer and reflects the roles of Waihanga Ara Rau Construction and Infrastructure WDC and Te Pūkenga within the vocational education sector. It supports the intent of the RoVE. The qualification was republished to transfer the Qualification Developer role from Ara Institute of Canterbury Ltd to Waihanga Ara Rau Construction and Infrastructure WDC. All other aspects of the qualification are unchanged. |
