Muka Tangata – People, Food and Fibre Workforce Development Council has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.
Date new versions published September 2022
Planned review date December 2027
Summary
Muka Tangata reviewed 15 Agriculture unit standards which were overdue for review, and training providers indicated they wanted them retained on the NZQA framework. Muka Tangata also expired four unit standards due to low usage and informed consent to assess holders.
Consultation was carried out in May 2022 where consent to assess holders and stakeholders had the opportunity to give comment on the email sent asking for feedback to amendments. This feedback was addressed where appropriate.
Main changes
· Titles were amended for some reviewed unit standards to better align with the content.
· Guidance information was amended for unit standards to reflect changes to format requirements.
· Some performance criteria and range statements were amended to ensure unit standards remained fit for purpose.
· Credit value for unit standard 19081 was increased to reflect the complexity of the calculations required in Outcome 3.
· Credit value for unit standard 581was increased to reflect the practical activity of docking and treating lambs.
Category D unit standards will expire at the end of December 2024.
