Summary

Muka Tangata – People, Food and Fibre Workforce Development Council revised Agriculture and Horticulture unit standards to better reflect the requirements of industry.

Unit standard 24557 was reviewed in 2019, 32012 was revised in 2021, and 21026 was reviewed in 2022, however errors were noted on publication and were revised.  Further amendments suggested by industry to selected unit standards were made to ensure they are fit for purpose.

Consultation was carried out in June 2022 where consent to assess holders and stakeholders had the opportunity to give comment on the email sent asking for feedback to amendments.  This feedback was addressed where appropriate.

Main changes

· In unit standard 32012 Outcome 1 was amended to incorporate a wider range of environmental risks on-farm.  

· Last date of assessment of 31 December 2024 was included in all unit standards where appropriate.

· In unit standard 24557 Outcome 3 range statement was removed and the performance criteria amended to reflect the change.

· The Guidance Information was updated for Unit Standard 21026.
