Summary
Waihanga Ara Rau reviewed the above standards in consultation with providers who have consent to assess, Worksafe, and Scaffolding, Access & Rigging NZ (SARNZ). Three people from SARNZ who represented industry also took part in the review. All feedback was incorporated where appropriate.
Main changes
· The content of 23231 and 23232 was updated to meet industry requirements.
· The title, guidance information and range statement language were updated to reflect the current Health & Safety at Work Act 2015, New Zealand standards, First Aid practice, and industry best practice guidelines.
· The title and purpose for 23232 was changed to make it explicit the rescue plan was to be tested under supervision. PC 1.3 was changed to explicitly require knowledge of suspension trauma medical requirements and first aid.
