Summary

Connexis, a Business Division of Te Pūkenga recently requested an extension to the Last Date for Assessment (LDA) for the following qualifications in the infrastructure works suite from 31 December 2023 to 31 December 2025:

• New Zealand Certificate in Infrastructure Works (Level 3) with optional strand in Plant Operation [Ref: 3856];
• New Zealand Certificate in Infrastructure Works (Pipeline Construction and Maintenance) (Level 4) with strands in Drinking-Water, Stormwater and Wastewater, and Trenchless Technologies [Ref: 3858-1].

The extension to the LDA in these qualifications was to allow time for learners to complete the existing programme, and to allow Connexis time to develop programmes leading to the new versions of these qualifications.

The extension of the LDA for the unit standards in this application to 31 December 2025 will mean that the expiry date of these unit standards will align with the version expiry date of the qualifications.

Main changes

· The last date for assessment to the expiring unit standards has been extended from 31 December 2023 to 31 December 2025.

· The last date for assessment of superseded versions of the unit standards listed below was also extended from 31 December 2023 to 31 December 2025.
