Summary

These unit standards have been amended to have their planned review date extended to allow for the time needed by the Ministry of Education to develop new Pacific Studies achievement standards. The review of the unit standards is now scheduled for December 2025.

The Ministry of Education is planning to develop a Pacific Studies Achievement Standard subject as part of the NCEA Change Programme. Pacific Studies will be added to the Social Sciences Learning area, complementing the addition of Gagana Tokelau and Vagahau Niue to the Languages Learning Area.
