Summary of review and consultation process

Toitū te Waiora WDC was approached by a key provider with a request that the last date of assessment of the superseded qualification 2990-1 be extended. The current version 2990-2 of the qualification will be reviewed in 2024. Moving the last date of assessment of version 1 to the end of 2026 will allow all providers more time to revise programmes to either version 2 or 3 of the qualification once the 2024 review is finished. Therefore, providers will have no need to move to version 2 of the qualification prior to 31 December 2023.

Main changes resulting from the republication

The last date of assessment for version 1 of this qualification has been changed from 31 December 2023 to 31 December 2026.
