Summary of review and consultation process |
|
The Tiaki Kuia, Koroua and Te Pou Tautoko i te Ora qualifications were scheduled and triggered for review in 2023. The NZQA website was updated, signalling the review and the review plan and review terms of reference was published. The review panel members represented Whakaruruhau, hapori, industry, programme providers and tertiary providers who deliver programmes leading to the qualifications. The qualification review was conducted in person on the 29-30 August 2023. The qualification review ensures the qualifications are relevant, fit for purpose and meet the needs and aspirations of whānau, hapū, iwi, hapori and industry. Wider consultation for feedback and comments was conducted via the NZQA website for 4 weeks. |

Main changes resulting from the review |

· Minor changes applied to the graduate profile outcomes (GPOs) for clarity and relevancy. · GPOs for Te Pou Tautoko i te Ora (Kaupae 5) are reordered for a cohesive delivery. · Minor amendments applied to the guiding principles. · Minor changes applied to the employment/cultural and community pathway for inclusivity. |
