Summary of review and consultation process |
|
The standard setting responsibility for this qualification was transferred from Connexis TITO to Waihanga Ara Rau Construction and Infrastructure Workforce Development Council in October 2021. Industry representatives and providers were consulted from August – September 2022 to ensure the qualification was relevant and fit for purpose. Consultation documents were published on the Waihanga Ara Rau website and circulated via email. A Technical Advisory Group of industry representatives considered the responses and made recommendations for minor changes. Meetings were conducted in person and online, between September – November 2022, with recommendations informing the qualification review and amendments made where appropriate. The wider industry group was informed of these amendments in November for final feedback, with no further amendment recommendations received. |

Main changes resulting from the review |
|
The qualification developer was changed to Waihanga Ara Rau Construction and Infrastructure Workforce Development Council. The strategic purpose statement was amended to update the scope of practice. The education pathway was amended in line with current industry requirements. Evidence requirements for assuring consistency, and general conditions for the programme were updated to reflect NZQA requirements for listing. General conditions were updated to the most recent versions of codes, guides, and regulations. Graduate profile outcomes were amended to align with the revised strategic purpose statement and NZQA listing requirements. |
