Summary
This unit standard was reviewed as part of a targeted project to update overdue standards and to ensure it was fit for purpose and reflected current industry needs and best practice. Toi Mai Workforce Development Council consulted with providers and key industry subject matter experts to update the standard during October-November 2022.
Main changes
· Guidance Information was updated to clarify the assessment conditions, provide a definition of current industry good practice and to ensure it aligns with other Snowsport and Outdoor Recreation unit standards.
· Unit standard template was updated to meet current NZQA layout.
· The title was updated to include a comma.
· Range statement for Performance criteria 1.3 was amended to better meet current industry technology and terminology.
