Summary of review and consultation process

The standard setting responsibility for this qualification was transferred from Connexis TITO to Waihanga Ara Rau in October 2021.

Employers, providers, industry and the Electrical Workers’ Registration Board were consulted about the qualification from June – July 2022 conducted via the Waihanga Ara Rau website and by email.

A Technical Advisory Group of industry representatives considered the responses and made recommendations for minor changes. These were emailed to interested parties and adopted.

Main changes resulting from the review

· The qualification developer was changed to Waihanga Ara Rau Construction and Infrastructure Workforce Development Council.

· The strategic purpose statement and some graduate profile outcomes had minor wording changes to improve clarity.

· Credit values were amended to reflect current practice.
