Summary

One provider currently delivers a range of unit standards in their programme leading the New Zealand Certificate in Animal Care (Level 3) [Ref: 2487] version 1.

The programme includes unit standards 31501, and 31502.  Version 2 of unit standards 31501 and 31502 now have fewer credits associated with them than version 1.  Version 1 of both unit standards is due to expire on 31 December 2022.

Te Pūkenga has given this provider approval to offer the programme leading to the New Zealand Certificate in Animal Care (Level 3) [Ref: 2487] version 1 to their in-school community for one further year.  The schools this provider works with need a specific number of credits for unit standards which can only be achieved by using version 1 of the unit standards. The last date of assessment of version 1 of these unit standards has been rolled over from 31 December 2022 to 31 December 2023.

Consent to assess holders for these unit standards will not be affected by this change.
