Summary
Waihanga Ara Rau Construction and Infrastructure WDC, Master Joiners, providers and representatives from the kitchen joinery industry have developed the unit standards for programmes leading to the New Zealand Certificate in Kitchen Joinery (Level 4) with strands in Manufacture, and Installation [Ref: 4301]. As a part of this process, unit standard 30768 was reviewed and new unit standards developed.
Industry organisations, employers, subject matter experts, and training providers from the kitchen joinery industry were consulted during February and March 2023 via email and online meetings.
Main changes
· Unit standard 30768 was replaced with unit standard 33272.
· New unit standards 33266 – 33271 were developed.

Organisations who wish to apply for consent to assess the new unit standards can contact qualifications@waihangaararau.nz.
Category C unit standard 30768 will expire at the end of December 2027
