Hanga-Aro-Rau reviewed the plastics processing and engineering qualifications listed above, in April 2023. Te Pūkenga, the sole provider of programmes leading to these qualifications, initiated this review by contacting Hanga Aro-Rau requesting the last date of entry. These qualifications were initially reviewed in 2021 and set to expire with replacements in 2026. The associated unit standards are currently under review. Due to the time required to complete this review and to develop the programme guidance materials leading to the replacement qualifications, there will be a time period gap between the programmes leading to the replaced and replacement qualifications. To ensure that no learners are disadvantaged, and to fill this gap, the last date of entry for the replaced qualifications has been extended from 31 December 2023 to 31 December 2025. Email consultation took place in April 2023, alongside the ongoing review of the unit standards. |

The qualification developer details were updated from Competenz Industry Training Organisation to Hanga-Aro-Rau Manufacturing, Engineering and Logistics Workforce Development Council. |
