Summary

Toitū te Waiora received advice from Careerforce te toi pūkenga that a requirement for two plans to be developed for two different people presented a barrier to completion for caregivers who support only one person, often in a home-based situation.  It was not intended that this standard should only be used by people who support more than one person, so the requirement has been removed.

It is not expected that this change, which applied only to outcome 2, would have a significant effect upon the notional learning hours and assessment, so the credit total has not been changed.

· Guidance Information 2 was amended to remove the assessment requirement for personal plans for two different people.
