Registration of new Computing skill standards
Toi Mai Workforce Development Council has registered new skill standards in the Computer Support, Generic Computing and Software Development – Programming domains.

Summary
These standards were developed to align with the New Zealand Diploma in Information Technology Technical Support (Level 5) [Ref: 2596], with a view to supporting programmes that include workplace-based learning.
The development was overseen by a specialist advisory group consisting of those with appropriate knowledge and skills in computing, programme development, and assessment. The advisory group was convened in August 2023 with further meetings in September and October. The draft standards were distributed for consultation with key stakeholders that included both providers and industry in November and December. All feedback was considered and actioned where appropriate.
