Summary

Muka Tangata was requested by Primary ITO on behalf of a large iwi group to consider the revision of the unit standards to include a definition of ‘vehicle’ that includes horses.  Primary ITO cited discussions with iwi where they prefer to use horses in challenging terrain, which is better for the environment and avoids the need for roads.

Main changes

· Definitions in these two unit standards were expanded to include definition of vehicles.
