Summary

Ringa Hora was advised by stakeholders that there was confusion between the articles of te Tiriti o Waitangi and the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and was asked to provide some clarification for unit standard 29050. The revision of this standard triggered the revision of the 32-unit standards listed above. The purpose of this revision was to ensure that the providers and learners using these standards were not disadvantaged when interpreting te Tiriti o Waitangi and the Treaty of Waitangi.

Main changes

· Guidance information in the unit standards was amended to specify the articles of te Tiriti o Waitangi and the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.

· Outcome 1.3 and 1.4, in unit standards 29053, were amended to include the articles of te Tiriti o Waitangi and the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.
