Summary

Waihanga Ara Rau identified a group of Telecommunications unit standards which were due for review in 2022 or 2023.  No suggestions for improvement to the level 3 unit standards have been received, despite high usage. The level 4 unit standards have not been used and industry will determine whether they are required during the next year.  Stakeholders were consulted by email and agreed to extend the planned review date to December 2025, with the intention of developing a set of replacement skill standards.

Main changes

· The standard setting body was changed from Connexis Infrastructure ITO to Waihanga Ara Rau Construction and Infrastructure Workforce Development Council.

· Guidance information was updated to reflect changes to legislation.

· AS/NZS was updated for unit standard 27914.

· The last date of assessment for 27914 versions 1 and 2 has been updated to 31 December 2024.

· The planned review date was extended from December 2022 or 2023 to December 2025.
